Creating a Character

This form is used to create and submit characters for people to use when playing Gilmoril: Technogothic Nightmare. These characters can be NPCs, victims, accomplices, or even potential Venerer. The sky is the limit.

Before you begin, what kind of character are you trying to make?

NPC/Companion - Only basic information is required. Uses pre-determined stats. Brave Soul - Characters willing to fight back. Traits don't affect their aptitude scores. Venerer - Monster hunters that follow all normal rules for character creation.

Choose one of the options above to represent this characters luck.

Culture

Choose one of the cultures for them to come from. Faer - Nomadic people living out in the winds of Gilmoril. Durish - People from all walks of life living within the gothic city of Mornewaith. Maelin - Sailors and craftspeople living along the rivers and islands of the Graewottr.

Provide at least one character they know, what profession that character has, and their relationship to each other. You may provide no more than three contacts.

Note at least two minor items they carry with them most of the time.

List up to two important items this character is known to use regularly.

Aptitude Scores

Aptitude Scores are representative of how well a character can achieve their goals through certain means. Physical determines bodily function and speed. Mental determines perception, recognition, and willpower. Artifice represents engineering and the use of devices.

This characters Physical, Mental, and Artifice all start at 2.

Limits

Limits are used to track the condition of a character during play. Stamina represents their energy levels. Speed represents how quickly they can travel. And Armor represents how well they can resist attacks.

This characters Stamina, Speed, and Armor all start at 4.

Ratings

How confident is this character in their abilities?

1 = Riddled with doubt. 5 = Bulletproof.

How well can this character adapt to different situations?

1 = Hyper-focused. 5 = Jack-of-all-trades.

How would you rate this characters chances of survival? 1 = Guaranteed death. 5 = Live forever.

How well do you think this character would perform as a monster hunter? 1 = Bait. 5 = Best of the best.
